The third wave of Covid-19 came, as expected. After three months of being in the red zone, we got moved into orange. We almost dared thinking about putting up an exhibit. However, today is announced that the whole province will be in a lockdown, because of the third wave of Covid-19. The Board of the Minto Arts Council has decided that the gallery will remain closed, as long as we remain in “Lockdown” restrictions. Tentative exhibit plans are in place for the year, but of course it all depends on Public Health regulations. Acknowledging the unique challenges of the artistic community in dealing with the COVID-19 situation. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our artists, volunteers, patrons and supporters. We will do our best to support the artistic community.

These actions disappoint us all but it is the responsible path to take in view of current information.  The situation will be reviewed again by early May and we will communicate a new COVID-19 UPDATE then, or earlier, if things change. At this time we would like to thank all of you for your continued support and patronage of the arts in your community. We look forward to bringing new exhibitions and shows to our community in the future.

As always please contact us at [email protected] or 519-338-2497, if you require any further information.

Stay Safe, practice physical distancing and be sure to wash your hands.
