Superboys of Malegaon is a proud part of Big Film Fest’s lineup. It is a 2024 Hindi-language coming-of-age film. The film is directed by Reema Kagti and written by Varun Grover. The film is inspired by the 2008 documentary Supermen of Malegaon. It tells the compelling story of Nasir Shaikh. It also follows a group of passionate amateur filmmakers in the small town of Malegaon. The film stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan. It explores the dreams and determination of those who create cinema. They achieve this against the odds.
Premiering at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, the film received critical praise. Later it was released in theatres on February 28, 2025. Since its debut, it has garnered positive reviews for its storytelling and heartfelt performances.
